On November 5, 2013 demonstrators took to the streets of Washington D.C. to protest government corruption, GMOs, corporate greed, injustice, persecution of whistleblowers and more.

A nearly 12-hour-long protest at the nation's Capitol virtually shut down Washington D.C. as protesters took to the streets and marched to the White House, The Federal Reserve, Department of Justice, Department of Agriculture, and the Capitol Building. There was also a stage set up for a performance by Conscious Rapper, Steve Grant, and a few speeches to raise awareness.

As the day moved on, what started as a few hundred people, ballooned into well over a thousand protesters marching through the streets, stopping traffic and gaining the support from most residents trying to drive through the city.

At the beginning of the day, Police attempted to cordon off protesters in front of the White House, but their attempts failed as the yellow tape was taken down and the march began.

Protesters also stopped in front of the Newseum to read the 1st Amendment, a statement that was heard loud and clear to onlookers, and was intended to send a message to Congress.

As protesters marched through the streets, they stopped at numerous government agencies, including the Department of Justice; where they protested the injustice the system has delivered in recent decades.

The Million Mask March took place in several countries around the world including London and Australia. The purpose of the March is to continue to raise awareness about government corruption on all levels, corporate greed, GMOs, arresting whistleblowers, and the continual growth of a police state. The march was organized worldwide by using Facebook and Twitter, and had millions marching on Nov. 5th.
