The so-called
Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has warned rival militants
operating inside Syria to stop fighting the group and accede to its
conditions or face the consequences.
Spokesman for the terrorist ISIL Abu Mohammed Al-Adnani on Saturday
warned other militant groups that it would pull back its forces from
Aleppo, where they are engaged in fighting with Syrian army forces, if
the other militants do not end fighting the ISIL.Al-Adnani set three conditions for other militant groups, namely opening roads to the ISIL terrorists, avoiding conflict with or harassment of its members and the release of all the captured elements of the terrorist group.
The threats came as infighting has intensified among the foreign-backed militants in different parts of Syria.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday that the self-proclaimed Army of Mujahideen militant group has killed 36 elements loyal to the ISIL in Idlib and Aleppo provinces in northern Syria since Friday.
“At least 36 members and supporters of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant have been killed since Friday in Idlib and more than 100 have been captured by rebels,” said the London-based group.Rival militants have “seized checkpoints, bases and weapons from ISIL” in Aleppo and Idlib provinces, the group added.
Syria has been gripped by deadly crisis since 2011. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies - especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey - are supporting the militants operating inside the country.
