Marc A. Feldman was a 2016 candidate in the Libertarian Party primary. He was found dead in a Cleveland-area hotel. This is shocking:
Marc A. Feldman, 56, of Beachwood was found at the America’s Best Value Inn in the 14000 block of Brookpark Road. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released an official cause of death. He was discovered dead by police, after a hotel employee was alarmed when a woman who called Feldman’s room said he was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cleveland Clinic issued a statement saying: “We are saddened by the sudden loss of Dr. Feldman. He was a talented physician and will be missed.”
In May, Feldman lost the nomination to represent the Libertarian Party in the November presidential election. The party selected former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson.
Carla Howell, the party’s political director, was stunned to learn of Feldman’s death. She called the Feldman family home in Beachwood and spoke with a family friend who confirmed his death.
“This is absolutely horrible,” she said.
Nicholas Sarwark, chair of the party’s national committee, said: “We will miss his dedication as a member of the national committee and candidate for public office, but most of all, I will miss a good friend. He was a delightful, spirited, and dedicated Libertarian who inspired and won the hearts of many. Our deepest condolences to his family on their loss.”
