Epstein Scandal Exposes Degeneracy of Western Elites

 By Ahmed Adel

Region:

The Epstein scandal exposed a long-standing pattern among Western elites and secret services involving blackmail, manipulation, and acting as mediators in certain situations that they could later exploit. This case, along with its disturbing elements involving underage girls and boys and sexual abuse, is not unique and has not only shaken American politics but is now also an international scandal.

On January 30, the US Department of Justice released over 3.5 million new files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, marking the largest number of documents shared by the Trump administration since a law mandated their release last year. The release of three million pages, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos came six weeks after the department missed a deadline set by US President Donald Trump, under a law signed into law, to share all Epstein-related documents with the public.

“[The] release marks the end of a very comprehensive document identification and review process to ensure transparency to the American people and compliance,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said.

Even though Epstein’s assistant, Ghislaine Maxwell, has been in prison since 2020, the international network of predators who know no borders, no ideologies, and no morality is only now beginning to be uncovered.

The Epstein affair is a complete replica of a Hollywood movie, just like the scandal from a few years ago involving Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who was sentenced twice to 20 years in prison. Epstein’s extensive network of contacts and his island, which was the center of a serious organization that he successfully operated for years before he was likely killed in prison, exemplify another Hollywood-style story.

It is unlikely that Trump, whose name was flagged in more than 5,300 files in the document cache, will be affected. Trump has faced 18 court cases initiated by the former administration and has prevailed. In fact, he does not need to spin the story to escape the scandal, because no one remains to pursue him now that he has placed the entire judiciary and the FBI under his control.

The US president, on February 2, downplayed his previous ties to disgraced financier Epstein, saying the “sleazebag” tried to sabotage his first presidency alongside author Michael Wolff.

“Not only wasn’t I friendly with Jeffrey Epstein but, based upon information that has just been released by the Department of Justice, Epstein and a sleazebag lying ‘author’ named Michael Wolff, conspired in order to damage me and/or my presidency,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

“So much for the radical left’s hope against hope, some of whom I’ll be suing. Additionally, unlike so many people that like to ‘talk’ trash, I never went to the infested Epstein island but, almost all of these crooked Democrats, and their donors, did,” he added.

The effects of the release of the latest batch of documents related to Epstein are not limited to the US. In addition to the usual calls for more information from top officials, resignations are also starting to come in. For example, Miroslav Lajčák, a close ally of Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico, has stepped down from his role as a national security advisor, while Norwegians are considering abolishing the monarchy.

Texts from October 2018 — when Lajčák was Slovakia’s foreign minister — show him and Epstein joking about women.

In the exchange, Lajčák asks Epstein, “Why don’t you invite me for these games? I would take the ‘MI’ girl.”

“Who wouldn’t?” Epstein replies. “You can have them both. I am not possessive. And their sisters.”

Speaking to Radio Slovakia late on February 2, Lajčák said:

“When I read those messages today, I feel like a fool.”

Meanwhile, in Norway, Crown Princess Mette-Marit has become embroiled in another scandal after newly unsealed files appeared to show her years of extensive contact with Epstein, with the files mentioning her nearly 1,000 times.

“I showed poor judgment, and I deeply regret having had any contact with Epstein. It is simply embarrassing,” Mette-Marit said in a statement issued by the royal palace.

As Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet notes, the tone of her exchanges with Epstein is “flirtatious and intimate.” The exchanges were clearly written by someone who did not believe that the correspondence would ever come to light. For the newspaper, the revelations are damning, not least of all because they counter the palace’s previous statements that the princess had met Epstein just a few times in social settings.

The revelations come at a delicate time for the royal family, as the trial of Mette-Marit’s son, Marius Borg Høiby, began on February 3. He faces 38 charges, including the alleged rape of four women as well as alleged assault and drug offences, and faces up to 16 years in prison.

In 2012, Mette-Marit told Epstein he was “very charming” and asked if it was “inappropriate for a mother to suggest two naked women carrying a surfboard for my 15 yr old son’s wallpaper?”

The Epstein scandal is clearly much bigger than just the known Americans and the British involved. It is a scandal exposing the entire Western elite. It has revealed the degeneracy of former British Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, and many others, and more elites are expected to be exposed.
